The Associate Dean for Information Technology is a highly visible executive-level role that serves as the School of Medicine’s Chief Information Officer supporting 27 academic departments and 18 centers encompassing approximately 6,500 employees. This position is responsible for technology strategy, direction and investment for the SOM. The position incumbent reports to the Associate Dean for Administration of the SOM. The position is also responsible for maintaining the technology infrastructure and business systems and ensures the School provides high quality, best practice systems and support to enhance its teaching and learning and research missions, as well as faculty in their academic-related clinical work, while ensuring reliable operational effectiveness and efficiency. This position provides executive leadership for SOM technology group(s) that provides academic technology services; application, web, and data services; client services and support; information security; infrastructure and operations; and project management for the School.
