Kristy Borawski, MD, has been named Director of the Learning Environment for Undergraduate Medical Education. In this new role, Borawski will manage all learning environment reports for Undergraduate Medical Education. She will start her new role on June 1st.
Kristy Borawski, MD, associate professor in the Department of Urology, has been named Director of the Learning Environment for Undergraduate Medical Education. In this new role, Borawski will work with Alice Chuang, MD, to address learning environment concerns in Undergraduate Medical Education.
Additionally, Borawski will help to establish synergy throughout the School of Medicine to create a centralized space for learning environment training and resolution.
Borawski earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her Urologic residency at Duke University. Borawski remained at Duke University to complete a fellowship in Reconstructive Urology, Neurourology and Urodynamics. Her UNC School of Medicine career started in 2010 as an assistant professor for the Division of Urology. She now serves as a Clinical Associate professor for the Department of Urology.
Borawski is also involved with a number of professional organizations and is an active member of the Academy of Educators of which she was honored with the Craver Medical Student Teaching Award in 2021.
