The UNC Medical Center’s Adult Rapid Response System recognizes the nurses that ensure rapid response events are successful.
This week’s feature is of rapid response nurse Janice Galloway.
I have been a nurse since 1974 with 5+ years in US Navy. UNC since 1981 with SICU, Float Pool and ICU Transport positions. I retired in 2008 and returned to start the Rapid Response Rounding Team which later developed into the Adult Rapid Response Team.
I enjoy visiting Thailand where my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren live. I want this pandemic to be OVER!
What do you like about being a Rapid Response RN?
I enjoy the autonomy of being a rapid nurse, working with the medical and nursing teams and advocating for patients.
