As we move forward toward a new normal, I hope each of you will take time to reflect on these years and I hope you will be as proud of your strength and growth as I am. You have demonstrated determination and resilience that will help you become the leaders, clinicians and scientists the world needs in the future.

Dear Colleagues,

This Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week we are taking time to celebrate and thank our incredible School of Medicine students.

Our graduate and professional students have shown remarkable perseverance over the past two years, which have been difficult in every way. Our students were challenged academically as they navigated changes to their learning environments, professionally as they rose to the occasion to lead in life-saving research and patient care efforts, and personally as their lives and connections to friends and family changed.

As we move forward toward a new normal, I hope each of you will take time to reflect on these years and I hope you will be as proud of your strength and growth as I am. You have demonstrated determination and resilience that will help you become the leaders, clinicians and scientists the world needs in the future. Thank you for all of your contributions to the School of Medicine, to the University and to your community. We could not accomplish all that we do without you.

I want to make sure that each of you saw the message that Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz sent to campus earlier this week. Please also take a moment to watch a video message from the Chancellor as well.

Sincerely, Cristy
