The UNC Health Beacon Program and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program have created a new LMS module to help all staff in all departments provide better trauma informed care for sexual assault survivors.
One in three women experience sexual violence during their lifetime and sexual violence can have long term impacts on health, including higher rates of chronic health conditions, mental health conditions and substance abuse. Sexual assault survivors also are less likely to access preventative health services.
The UNC Health Beacon Program and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program have created a new LMS module to help all staff in all departments provide better trauma informed care for sexual assault survivors.
The LMS Module entitled “Working with Patients who Have Experienced Sexual Violence”. The course code is UNCHBEASEVIO22.
