The UNC Medical Center’s Adult Rapid Response System recognizes the nurses that ensure rapid response events are successful.
This week’s feature is of rapid response nurse Brittany Davis.
I worked in UNC SICU for almost 5 years before making the transition to Rapid and ICU Transport. I worked in a CICU/Cardiac Stepdown for 2 years prior to coming to UNC.
I love to travel and go on adventures. I have been to 15 different countries and hope to expand that list. I went bungee jumping and skydiving in New Zealand. I am a big Penn State football fan. I also have a weakness for chocolate chip cookies….
What do you like about being a Rapid Response nurse?
I really enjoy the critical thinking and collaboration that is involved with Rapid. The doctors, nurses and RTs all bring unique perspectives to the table and I really enjoy getting to work with everyone. I feel like I learn something new every day getting exposure to all of the different specialties.
