Audrea Caesar, PhD, shares her thanks to UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine teammates for their participation in the 2022 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Climate Survey.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the 2022 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Climate Survey. Thank you also to the leaders who encouraged and supported individuals as they completed the survey. An impressive 62% of the organization participated in the survey! This includes teammates, faculty, staff, students and learners from our UNC Health hospital entities/affiliates and UNC School of Medicine.

The purpose of the survey was to receive feedback that will help us understand perspectives and viewpoints regarding the work and learning experiences at UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine. Your feedback was critical to ensuring our One Great Team has a workplace and learning environment where all people feel valued and a sense of belonging. As we continue to elevate and embrace culture, we must remain mission focused. Our people are our priority, which is why the survey is so important. Your valuable feedback contributes to a culture that is welcoming, respectful, equitable and inclusive for all.

We have started sharing high level results with executive leadership. Leaders should check their inbox during the week of June 20, for an email from Press Ganey. This email will have a unique link to the 2022 DEI Climate Survey results portal. Also, during the week of June 20, information about the DEI Climate Survey Leader’s Resource page will be communicated in the manager newsletters. The resource page will include a toolkit for leaders with video guidance on how to navigate the survey results portal, talking points for sharing survey results with teammates and FAQs. Additional resources, including improvement planning tips, will be added as they become available.
