The UNC School of Medicine will host virtual mock interviews from September 19 through October 21 for individualization phase students applying to residency.
School of Medicine faculty members are needed as volunteers to help students prepare for their residency interviews by signing up as mock interviewers. At this time, organizers are only seeking faculty members as volunteers, not residents or fellow physicians.
To sign up as an interviewer:
- Select interview times online and fill in availability at the latest by Tuesday, August 9. The sooner the better.
- The interview blocks are each two hours and include four interviews. Please sign-up for as many time slots as you are willing and able to do, so that organizers can accommodate 180 students.
- Volunteers will receive a detailed email the day before the interview with Zoom details, the student’s name, specialty choice, and CV, as well as suggested interview questions.
- Each interview will be 30 minutes: 20-minutes for the interview, 3-5 minutes of feedback, and then 3-5 minutes to fill out the electronic evaluation form to submit after the interview.
