The Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development is offering travel scholarships for the AAMC Mid-Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar. This event takes place on December 3-5, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa, Santa Ana Pueblo, NM. If you are an associate professor with a minimum of two years of experience in your current faculty appointment, apply for the Mid-Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar. There, you’ll expand your network, employ strategies for career and leadership development, and brainstorm ways to advance women in academic medicine and science!
Who Should Attend?
The Mid-Career seminar is designed for women physicians and scientists with an appointment at an AAMC member school of medicine, with a minimum of two years of experience (appointed on/before December 2022) as an Associate Professor. Applicants must actively be seeking leadership opportunities to advance to the next stage of their career, including full professorship or other advanced leadership positions, as the curriculum focuses on the skills necessary for career advancement within academic medicine and science.

The curriculum is highly focused on gaining leadership knowledge and skills that will enable you to better prepare for advancement and promotion. Over three days, you’ll take part in engaging plenaries and panels, interactive small group breakouts, and will have ample opportunity to network with peers at a similar stage of their career and facing similar challenges.
