Four specialties at UNC Hospitals nationally ranked by U.S. News
CHAPEL HILL, N.C., July 29, 2025 — UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill is ranked as the No. 2 hospital in the state and also within the Triangle in US News’ 2025-26 “Best Hospitals” report released today. UNC Health Rex in Raleigh is rated as the No. 4 hospital in the state and No. 3 in the Triangle region.
Four specialties at UNC Hospitals are nationally ranked by US News this year including:
- Cancer (#48)
- Ear, Nose & Throat (#44)
- Urology (#31)
- Rehabilitation (#46)
To be nationally ranked in an adult specialty, a facility must be rated among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for that discipline.
