ISD and Epic are aware of an issue that is causing the Rover mobile application to shut down unexpectedly for some Phlebotomists and Lab staff. Please follow the steps listed at this Intranet link to avoid this issue. This is a temporary workaround until Epic releases an update to the Rover mobile app.

Effective immediately, the Flow Cytometry Laboratory at UNC Medical Center is offering an immunophenotyping test to enumerate naïve and memory CD4 and CD8 T lymphocytes based on the expression of CD45 RA and CD45 RO. This test is intended for evaluation of patients with suspected T cell primary immune deficiency syndromes.

Effective January 9, 2017, in order to better serve our UNC Health Care affiliated providers and to standardize testing across UNC Hospitals' McLendon and UNC REX Laboratories, we will be changing the ordering and testing practices for Serum/Urine Protein Electrophoresis and Immunofixation testing at McLendon Clinical Laboratories.

Beaker Technical Dress Rehearsal underway
In preparation for the April 16 Epic@UNC Beaker Labs Go-Live at UNC Medical Center, Chatham Hospital, UNC REX Healthcare, and UNC Physicians Network, Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) teams are now visiting units and clinics to confirm that all lab label printers and other equipment is ready for Go-Live.
