Teaching COVID-19’s Real-Time Lessons

In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, many faculty in the School of Medicine (SOM) were tasked with restructuring courses and content for medical students to ensure they could effectively finish their semesters. A true testament to how the SOM community is better when working together is the creation and implementation of the Medical Management of COVID-19 elective for medical students, created by Drs. Stephen P. Bogdewic and Sarah Smithson, and Johanna Foster.

2020 UNC School of Medicine Well-Being Pilot Awards Winners Announced

The UNC School of Medicine Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development and Center for Health Innovation are pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 School of Medicine Well-Being Pilot Awards. Proposals were sought from School of Medicine faculty for projects aimed at promoting the well-being of faculty, staff, and/or students at the UNC School of Medicine as well as medical trainees serving within the UNC Health system.
