Over the course of the last three weeks, six UNC School of Medicine faculty participated in the Making the Case program that is sponsored by the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development. Program participants developed and refined their business ideas, and practiced pitching their idea in front of a panel of institutional leaders serving as coaches and judges. Last week, the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development and the Association of Professional Women in Medical Sciences (APWIMS) hosted a panel focused on the Daily Career and Life Transitions of women faculty. Over 80 women from the School of Medicine and the Adams School of Dentistry participated in the event.

The UNC School of Medicine Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development and the Center for Health Innovation are accepting proposals for the 2020 UNC School of Medicine Well-Being Pilot Awards. Applications are due Jan. 14, 2020, and as many as three awards of up to $10,000 each will be announced in March 2020.
