UNC Launches Largest COVID-19 Observational Study of its Kind in North Carolina

A new North Carolina study called VISION is now underway to answer some of the biggest questions about COVID-19. Led by William Fischer, MD, principal investigator, and David Wohl, MD, co-lead, the study plans to enroll 7,500 COVID-positive individuals to understand the different factors that impact individual risk for key clinical outcomes including recovery from acute illness, symptom rebound, re-infection, and long COVID. Machine Learning Tools for Clinical Researchers: A Pragmatic Approach Event Series

This virtual seminar series will provide a background in the use of machine learning tools to answer clinical questions, understand the strengths and limitations of these methods, and examine real-world examples of machine learning methodology in clinical research. The series is co-sponsored by the UNC Core Center for Clinical Research and the UNC Program for Precision Medicine in Health Care.
