The first School of Medicine IT Support Hub opened for business in mid-April, serving clients in the Physician’s Office Building, Family Medicine, and Radiation Oncology areas. Additional hubs are set to follow in the coming months, with the Central Hub, supporting clients on the north side of Manning Drive, opening in July. Going forward, desktop support and other infrastructure services will be offered through hubs staffed by IT professionals strategically located throughout the School of Medicine campus.

Starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, you will see the new UNC Medical Center Intranet page as the default home page when you open Internet Explorer on UNC Medical Center PCs.

A new portal called ‘MyApps’ is now available to provide faster and more secure remote access to UNC Health Care applications via Citrix.

Starting in February 2018, to enhance our information security, UNC Health Care will begin requiring 'Two-Step Verification' using the DUO mobile app for Android or iOS when accessing certain UNC Health Care applications remotely (outside of UNC Health Care locations). This includes off-site access to access Citrix, Epic@UNC, Webmail, etc.

UNC Hospitals, Chatham Hospital and UNC Hospital-paid Faculty Physicians & Staff employees can access W-2s electronically via Document Self Service.

If you have an LMS shortcut on your desktop or a favorite set in your internet browser please update them to the new LMS URL, which can be found here.

Recently the new Apple Macintosh operating system (High Sierra) was released in the Apple App Store. If you have an Apple computer it is likely that you have seen a prompt to download and install this update. PLEASE DO NOT install the update at this time. This update will cause problems with Microsoft Office and the UNC wireless eduroam enrollment process. Campus IT groups are currently working with the vendors for a resolution. Please monitor this page for updates.

Please complete all required annual LMS training modules online courses in LMS by Sept. 30, 2017. The annual LMS training modules are important for ensuring the safety of our patients and our workplace and are required by many regulatory organizations.

The new ‘MySupport@UNC’ system is now available with the goal of delivering a simple, one-stop source for your IT issues and needs.

UNC Health Care’s ISD teams will begin moving to the 1025 Think Place address Jan. 27. The timeline is outlined on this page.
