Heart and vascular services at UNC Health Care are currently undergoing a period of rapid growth, including the opening of the North Carolina Heart and Vascular Hospital at Rex in 2017. Now more than ever, a structure is needed that will continue and increase our strategic alignment of services and priorities, clinical best practices, and quality care for our patients. The Referrals & Access Leadership Team is very excited to announce a number of improvements to the overall referral order process scheduled to go-live on June 14, 2015. Outpatient Care Services (OCS) Operational Training & Development and ISD Training have partnered to offer instructor-led training classes and WebEx sessions beginning on Wednesday, June 3. All Referral Coordinators and Clinic Managers are required to attend the Advanced Referral Management Instructor-led class.
