Nicoleta Constantin is part of a generation of Romanians that found opportunities outside of Romania after the fall of communism. In her life in the United States, she has performed groundbreaking biochemistry research in the lab of Duke Nobel Prize winner Paul Modrich, but she found her calling when she became a pediatric nurse at North Carolina Children’s Hospital.

Wesley Burks, MD, has announced that he will step down from his position as chair of the Department of Pediatrics and physician-in-chief of UNC Children’s. He will continue to serve as executive dean of the School of Medicine.

The Access Request Center (ARC) went live on Monday, Feb. 1. All UNC Medical Center and School of Medicine users that require additional access should now use ARC to submit their requests. The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team will process SARFs submitted prior to Feb. 1 – you do not need to resubmit these request in ARC.

2015 W-2s are now available online via Document Self Service for UNC Hospitals, Chatham Hospital, and UNC Hospitals-paid Faculty Physicians & staff employees. Log in using your UNC Health Care account credentials. If you chose not to authorize electronic W-2 delivery, your W-2 will be printed and mailed to your home address via the US Postal Service on/before Jan. 29.
