UNC Study Highlights Need for Standardized, Evidence-based Warning Labels for Cannabis Products

Researchers from the UNC Department of Family Medicine, along with lead author Caroline Meek, MPH, published a pivotal study in a special issue of the American Journal of Public Health titled “Regulatory Landscape of Cannabis Warning Labels in US States with Legal Retail Nonmedical Cannabis.” The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state of cannabis warning label regulations across the United States.

Publishing in Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, UNC School of Medicine researchers delve into the perspectives of community and academic providers on the role of biologics and food allergy. This study was led by co-authors Edwin Kim, MD, Division Chief of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, and Jill Fisher, PhD, professor in the UNC Department of Social Medicine and Center for Bioethics.
