News from Human Resources this week includes: New FMLA administration process with CareWorks USA; new links for the online Hiring for Excellence program; an on-site Sprint representative; Employee benefits at the hospital; and a Fidelity representative session.

New FMLA Administration Process with CareWorks USA

Changes go into effect on March 1, 2013 when Careworks USA will officially begin administering all FMLA processes for UNC Health Care.

Employees will use a new toll-free phone number (1-888-436-9530) to apply for and report FMLA-related information. CareWorks USA staff will be available to assist throughout the FMLA process.  Click here for more details.

Sprint On-Site

Stop by and see our Sprint representative Friday, March 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. in the Children's Hospital Lobby to find out about great deals and services. If you are unable to attend, contact the representative directly - Val Boston at or (919) 401-9573.

Employee Benefits at Hospital

Employee Benefits office will have a representative at the hospital Wednesday, March 6th from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM in the Medical School Wing C (old Motel) Room 102 to assist employees with benefits related questions and forms.  Employees are invited to drop in or schedule an appointment.

Fidelity Representative Session

Fidelity 403b representative Joshua Soucy will be available on-site for one-on-one appointments and education sessions Wednesday March 6th, from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM  Medical School Wing C (old motel) Room 104.  Please register at or by calling 1-800-642-7131, prompt 1.
