Flu Vaccine deadline for UNC Medical Center employees Dec. 4
All UNC Medical Center employees are required to receive a flu vaccine by Friday, Dec. 4. To document receipt of a flu vaccine at a facility/clinic other than Occupational Health Services, employees must complete the online Attestation Form/Survey to show proof of flu vaccine compliance.
New Bone Marrow Transplant Unit opened Dec. 2
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, the 16-bed Bone Marrow Transplant Unit patients and staff moved from their location on the fourth floor of the Cancer Hospital to their new 24-bed location on the first floor of the Neurosciences Hospital. Once the 16-bed space on the fourth floor of the Cancer Hospital is empty, renovations will begin to expand 4 Oncology from a 34-bed unit to a 53-bed unit, with plans to open in Spring 2016.
Hillsborough Holiday Home Tour
Please join the UNC Hospital’s Hillsborough Campus in supporting the 29th Annual Hillsborough Holiday Home Tour from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 6. This event is coordinated by the Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce and offers self-guided tours of several beautifully appointed homes adorned for the holidays, including one to be decorated by staff from the Hillsborough Campus.
