McLendon Labs – Memorandum #157 regarding QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube testing
Effective Jan. 14, UNC UNC McLendon Clinical Laboratories (MCL) Immunology Laboratory will assume responsibility of QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube testing. This testing was previously referred to LabCorp.
Crane at Neurosciences Loading Dock on Jan. 17
On Saturday, Jan. 17, from 7 a.m. until noon, Shelco, LLC, and their subcontractors will place a 90-ton crane at the Neurosciences Loading Dock to lift sections of HVAC ductwork to the roof of the 3rd floor mechanical room of the Neurosciences Hospital.

On Friday, Jan. 16, UNC Hospitals will hold its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day program in the lobby of the N.C. Children’s Hospital. The program will begin at 11:45 a.m. This year’s keynote speaker will be John Mendez, D. Min, senior minister at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.

Project HOPE, the global health education and humanitarian assistance organization, is now accepting applications for the 2015 Dr. Charles A. Sanders International Residency Scholarships funded by the North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation. All applications are due Feb. 28.

Open house training sessions on the new phones being installed across UNC Hospitals will be held all day Monday, Feb. 2, in Starbucks Conference Room A and B. All employees are invited to these sessions to learn more about new phones and new phone numbers at UNC Hospitals.
