Elaine M. Hill Award for Distinguished Volunteer Service

Applications now being accepted for the Elaine M. Hill Award for Distinguished Volunteer Service.

Nominations now open for 2015 Elaine M. Hill Award for Distinguished Volunteer Service. As a volunteer, Elaine M. Hill served refreshments during the opening of the N.C. Memorial Hospital in 1952. From that day until 1990, she was active in UNC Hospitals’ volunteer program - first as a volunteer, then as Director of Volunteer Services from 1967 - 1990.

It is our turn to honor the volunteer who best exemplifies Elaine’s spirit and service to UNC Hospitals. Nominations for our annual Distinguished Volunteer Service Award are due March 21. Applications can be downloaded from the Volunteer Services Website or paper applications from the Volunteer Services Office on the ground floor of Memorial Hospital.

In 1990, in recognition of her leadership, our annual distinguished volunteer service award was named in her honor. Elaine exemplified the heart and soul of the volunteer spirit of caring. Her commitment to excellence in patient care and service makes her one of the true heroes of this institution.

It is our turn to honor the volunteer who best exemplifies Elaine’s spirit and service to UNC Hospitals. Please share the link for the nomination form with your coworkers and ask them to consider nominating the volunteer(s) who truly make a difference in your area. Nominations are due March 21.
