Town of Chapel Hill 4th of July fireworks celebration

UNC Health Care is sponsoring this year's 4th of July celebration at Kenan Memorial Stadium on Saturday, July 4, from 7 - 10 p.m. Please plan ahead as traffic may be heavy near UNC Hospitals from 5 - 11 p.m. that night.

Summer wouldn’t be complete without another spectacular display of fireworks echoing throughout Kenan Stadium, and 2015 is sure to amaze and delight viewers. The Transit Vocal Band will be rocking the house this year, with heart thumping bass, vocal percussion, instrument emulation, innovative arrangements, and diverse solo styles.

Family Fun activities include a balloon artist, face painting, inflatable sports challenges, and carnival games.  A terrific Watermelon Eating contest, hosted by DSI Comedy, will begin at 7 p.m. Transit Vocal Band are scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m and fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. sharp. Seats fill quickly so make sure to arrive early and get your spot! 

Recommended parking for event patrons is in the Craige, Jackson and Cardinal parking decks off of Manning Drive. Rams Head Deck and the Bell Tower lots are open to public and disability parking. Handicapped seating access is available in section 119 of the stadium. The Town of Chapel Hill promotes a Bike & Pedestrian-Friendly Community and encourages everyone to cycle or walk whenever attending these great events!
