The primary goals of the UNC Department of Psychiatry's Second Annual Mental Health Awareness Day are to:

• Educate the public on various topics & diagnoses related to mental health/illness
• Offer information about services offered and mental health advocacy in the community
• Fight the stigma associated with mental illness

We will have posters, interactive displays, community resources, and knowledgeable staff present throughout the day to answer your questions. Please encourage your colleagues, friends, and family members to attend this community event. Make sure to sign a Stigma Free pledge, and find out more about the Walk for Hope, which raises money for research and treatment of mental illness. You can help make this event an even bigger success than last year. Hope to see you there!
