Volunteer Services has a new fall lineup

Changes in structure and programming in Volunteer Services offer patients and employees more support.

There are some exciting changes in Volunteer Services. We have combined our undergraduate student volunteers with our community-based volunteers so that we can provide a more consistent and comprehensive volunteer program.

  • Did you know that we currently have more than 1800 volunteers who contributed over 100,000 hours of service last year?
  • Did you know that UNC Medical Center volunteers can provide hospitality, nursing unit support, way-finding and navigation, administrative support and one-on-one patient interaction?
  • Did you know that Volunteer Coordinators can work with you to create volunteer programs that can enhance the patient experience and support Medical Center staff?
  • Did you know that you can be involved in the volunteer screening process for your area?

For more information about Volunteer Services, please attend a drop-in information session on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 3--4:30 p.m. in Conference Room #1 in the Cancer Hospital or contact your Volunteer Coordinator:
