UNC Senior Alliance participation in new Accountable Care Organization model begins Jan. 1, 2017
Beginning Jan. 1, 2017, UNC Senior Alliance, our Accountable Care Organization (ACO), will be responsible for the total cost of care for approximately 24,000 attributed Medicare beneficiaries in the Triangle and Caldwell service areas, regardless of where they receive care.

Password expirations begin for UNC Health Care accounts
To ensure our data and information remain secure, starting in December 2016, employees' UNC Health Care domain account passwords will begin expiring on an annual basis. Your UNC Health Care domain account is the account used for logging-in to Epic@UNC, LMS and your '@unchealth.unc.edu' email. You will be notified in several ways before your password expires. But we encourage everyone to proactively update their password at a convenient time using the steps outlined at this Intranet link. Don't wait for your password to expire!
Providers: Steps to save another provider’s Order Set as one of your ‘Favorites’
If another provider in your department/specialty has saved an Order Set that you would like to regularly use, follow the steps in this Tip Sheet (also attached) to add the Order Set as one of your ‘Favorites.’
REMINDER for Outpatient providers, staff: Updated Falls Risk Assessment and new Best Practice Advisory
On Dec. 15, 2016, outpatient providers and staff will see updates in Epic@UNC to help them better identify and manage patients at risk for falls. Inpatient users are not affected. Review the screenshots, tip sheets, and training resources available (including a recording of the recent WebEx session) to help prepare for these changes at this Intranet link.
