Functional Medicine course

A new five-week course on Functional Medicine Perspective on Autoimmune Disease, "The Immunology of Autoimmune Disease, Inflammation and Chronic Infection: A Research-Based Functional Medicine Perspective," will be held Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Feb. 3 - March 2.

This course is taught by Dr. Sam Yanuck, whose functional medicine practice focuses on the care of patients with autoimmune disease and other chronic illnesses. The course:

• provides an expanded repertoire of clinical tools to deal more effectively with patients who have complex autoimmune diseases, chronic infections and other chronic illnesses
• focuses on additional tools that are compatible with conventional care

The course is not for credit. It is $225 for the general public and $180 for UNC affiliates.
