Providers: Use ADT20 "Reassign Primary Provider Team" order when making changes to the Primary Provider Team
Starting Tuesday, April 10, the “Service” field is no longer available in ADT orders and it is now assigned by the Primary Team selection when ADT orders are signed. If the incorrect primary provider team was selected or if the primary provider team needs to be updated, use the “Reassign Patient Primary Provider Team” order (ADT20).
Providers: 'Extend' button returning to 'Open Orders' and 'Overdue Results' folder in In Basket
The 'Extend' button will be re-added to the 'Open Orders' and 'Overdue Results' folder in In Basket on April 12, which will allow users to extend the Expected and/or Expiration dates up to 365 days beyond the Order date.
Chilled Water Infrastructure Upgrades - Crane On-Site at the Anderson Loading Dock
Plant Engineering has a 90-ton crane arriving to UNC Hospitals on Saturday – April 14, 2018, from 8 a.m. – noon as part of the Chilled Water Infrastructure Upgrades construction project. The crane will be located in the Anderson Loading Dock. To minimize the inconvenience to your day please review the following information.

Neurosciences Visitor Elevator Lobby Refurbishment
As part of the Neurosciences Visitor Elevator Lobby Refurbishment Project, the Neurosciences Visitor Elevators (P1, P2, P3 and P4) will not stop on the 2nd floor starting on Friday, April 20 through Thursday, May 3. All traffic will be routed to the Neurosciences Service Elevators (P5, P6, P7 and P8). At the same time, service from these elevators will be returning to the basement level, which were previously closed for renovation

Planned Hot Water Outage in 4th – 9th floor Bedtower for four hours on night of April 12
Plant Engineering must turn off the hot water system from the 4th – 9th floors of the Bedtower from 9 p.m. Thursday, April 12, until approximately 1 a.m. Friday, April 13, to repair a leak on the hot water loop on the 9th floor.
Boyd Appointed Associate Chief Medical Officer for Credentialing and Medical Staff Services
UNC Hospitals is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Boyd, MD, as Associate Chief Medical Officer for Credentialing and Medical Staff Services. Dr. Boyd is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Critical Care, and is currently service leader for the Pediatric Intensivist service.

Tar Heel 10 Miler and Fleet Feet Sports 4 Mile Run
The 11th annual Tar Heel 10 Miler & Fleet Feet Sports 4 Mile Run will take place again in Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 21, 2018. This start is at 7:15 a.m. in front of the Bell Tower and the finish is along side Stadium Drive, concluding at 10:30 a.m. We are expecting about 6,000 runners. The primary beneficiary for the event is the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Flu Best Practice Advisory deactivated April 16
Due to the declining number of influenza cases across North Carolina, the flu screening Best Practice Advisory (BPA) in Epic@UNC will be deactivated for both inpatient and outpatient users on Monday, April 16. Please continue to screen patients for influenza and document appropriately.

Child Visitor Restrictions lifted April 13
Due to a decrease in the number of influenza cases, visitor restrictions for inpatient areas and waiting rooms at UNC Hospitals (Chapel Hill and Hillsborough) will end on Friday April 13, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. Please note that due to continued circulation of RSV, restrictions remain in place for the Newborn Critical Care Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at UNC Hospitals.
Scheduling, Registration, Pre-Arrival Staff: Tricare electronic verifications turned off until errors resolved
Tricare recently broke out coverage based on East and West territories, which caused errors in the eligibility responses that we get from Passport. To minimize errors, electronic verifications for Tricare are turned off until we have a resolution.

On April 10, a new workflow for monitoring aging deficiencies in Epic@UNC created a bug that sent multiple deficiency notification letters out erroneously to providers across UNC Health Care. Please disregard any deficiency letters in your InBasket dated April 10 and 11.
