Occupational Health Services will provide influenza vaccine to UNC Medical Center personnel beginning on Monday, September 10. All UNC Medical Center staff must be flu vaccine compliant by 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 as a condition of employment. You may find more details about our flu vaccination compliance program here.
Waitlist/Fast Pass Training via Webex Week of Oct. 29
Wait List management and Fast Pass improve patient satisfaction through the provision of timely care, and increases provider utilization by filling open appointment slots that would otherwise go unfilled. In an effort to support staff and provide you with the information needed to use these tools effectively, we are offering 3 training sessions during the week of Oct. 29. Front Desk, Schedulers, and Clinic Supervisors are encouraged to attend one of these sessions.
Manning Drive Closure Scheduled for Nov. 9-12
Manning Drive will be closed to through traffic the weekends of Nov. 9-12 for the removal of the pedestrian bridge connecting the Cardinal Parking Deck, Tarrson Hall and West Drive. During the weekend Nov. 9, Manning Drive will be closed between South Columbia Street and East Drive from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured along Mason Farm Road and East Drive. Pedestrians should remain alert to traffic changes and follow designated pedestrian detours.

State Employees Combined Campaign has begun
The UNC family has a long tradition of giving back to the community. Each year our employees support hundreds of charities through the State Employee Combined Campaign (SECC). This year the SECC is open until Friday, Nov. 16.
Halloween on Franklin Street: Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018

2018 Adopt a Family Program Information and Application
Volunteer Services and Human Resources are partnering this holiday season to once again offer our Adopt-A-Family program. The program, which has become a tradition at UNC Hospitals, helps state employees who are struggling financially or have recently suffered a tragic event. The deadline to nominate an employee and for teams to express interest in participation is Nov. 9
