UPDATED: Neurosciences Main Corridor Closure

Beginning Oct. 7, 2019, the corridor from the front of Neurosciences to the rear loading dock will close for approximately 10 weeks due to construction of the new Emergency Transition Dept. on the ground floor. There will be no access beyond the main visitor elevators on the ground floor.

To access the 7th floor Neurosciences unit from the ground floor, all visitors and staff must traverse the Women’s lobby through the middle corridor by the Women’s Health Information Center and gain access from the back corridor to the service elevators.

All stairwells will remain active throughout construction. There will be no access to and from the building through the rear loading dock area. Additional signage will be placed to help with this closure. Please excuse the disruption as we continue to improve our facilities at UNC Hospitals. See a map here of the closure and the suggested route to access elevators that service the 7th floor Neurosciences unit.
