Scheduling/Registration Staff: Content Error for Some BCBS and Passport Patients in RTE

There is a subset of patients that have duplicate ID Numbers in the system with the payer. This is causing a “Content Error” to be returned when Real Time Eligibility is triggered from within registration. These duplicates are the result of the patient having a gap in their coverage and then later re-instating. BCBS and Passport are aware of the issue and are working towards a fix; however this will not be in place until late October.

Recommendation from the payer is to contact BCBS directly to verify via phone or website to verify eligibility.
