2026 Frank Porter Graham Lecture: Andrea Ponti ’85, Managing Partner & Founder of GHO Capital, presents ‘Curing Sickle Cell and Other Investments in a Healthier World’

Andrea Ponti ’85, Managing Partner & Founder of GHO Capital, has lived and worked across the U.S., U.K., and continental Europe. He has over 30 years of experience as an investor helping entrepreneurs, founders, and boards drive healthcare innovation on a global scale. Mr. Ponti is also a founder of Blueprint for Better Business, an initiative that supports business leaders who are guided and inspired by a purpose that benefits society and advances the common good.
The Frank Porter Graham Lecture Series honors the late U.S. Senator and president of the University of North Carolina, who was a champion of freedom, democracy, and the disadvantaged. The lecture is made possible by the gift of Taylor McMillan ’60, who established the Frank Porter Graham Lecture Series.
