The 40th UNC TEACCH Autism Program Conference provides the most up-to-date information on supporting social engagement and regulation for children and adults with autism at school, work, and in the community. This year’s conference focuses on taking the perspective of individuals with autism. Content will be shared in four, two-hour virtual sessions, each highlighting ways to support engagement.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of the conference, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify educational and intervention techniques to support engagement for children with autism in the classroom and on the playground.
  2. Describe the learning and emotion regulation challenges that impact engagement for individuals with autism across the lifespan.
  3. Learn best practices for engaging autistic employees at work.

Target Audience: 

The target audience includes a range of professionals involved in the clinical care and education of autistic individuals across the lifespan, researchers in the field of autism, and autistic individuals and their family members.
