Biochemistry & Biophysics Seminar: Mark Phillips

December 2 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mark Phillips, M.D., Professor, Department of Medicine and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology

NYU Grossman School of Medicine — Host: Sharon Campbell

Title: “Differential Signaling of KRAS Splice Variants”

Dr. Mark Philips received his B.A. in Biology from Harvard College, his MD from Columbia University, completed residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Medical Center, and a fellowship in Rheumatology at NYU Medical Center. Dr. Philips is currently Professor Medicine, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry & Molecular Pharmacology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York. His research focuses on cell biology of GTPases and his research has made seminal contributions to the field of small GTPases in general and RAS trafficking in particular, including the paradigm-shifting observation that RAS proteins traffic upon endomembrane, which opened the field of compartmentalized signaling.
