Children’s Research Institute Seminar Series: “Synergizing translational and clinical research to improve asthma management: The intersection of biology and behavior”

January 12, 2021 @ 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm

CRI Seminar Series, in Collaboration with CEHS, would like you to join their January 12th presentation. Our speakers will be Drs. Burbank and Hernandez who use a multidisciplinary approach to improve asthma outcomes for children. In this seminar, they will first discuss their experiences with ex vivo and phase I studies to identify novel targets for treatment of asthma, followed by a discussion of complementary management approaches utilizing mHealth to improve adherence and patient engagement in healthy behaviors.
We hope to see you there!

Dr. Hernandez is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. Her research interests include asthma and the development of novel therapeutics for difficult-to-control asthma in children and teenagers, including effective interventions that can target environmentally induced inflammation to prevent disease in susceptible populations. Read more >>
