Clear Health Communication: Strategies and Best Practices in Written and Verbal Communication

Health professionals, students, and researchers often and unintentionally make health information and communication overly complex and difficult to understand for patients and caregivers, as well as those not in their field of study. This session will cover health literacy basics, as well as some strategies, resources, and best practices in using plain language to convey information by promoting and practicing clear written and verbal communication.
