CTSA Grand Rounds: The impact of sleeping and waking behaviors on maternal health during pregnancy

Please join NC TraCS on March 23 at 12 p.m. for a CTSA Grand Rounds seminar, The impact of sleeping and waking behaviors on maternal health during pregnancy, with Marquis Hawkins, PhD. He will discuss his work on sleep health characteristics and gestational weight gain.

Hawkins is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh and a K Scholar. Hawkins’s research aims to advance our understanding on how to promote maternal health during the perinatal period. Specifically, he examines the interrelationship of physical activity and sleep during and after pregnancy and the independent and joint relationship these health behaviors have with maternal health outcomes.
