Using two projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (Project Core and Tar Heel Shared Reader), Claire and Karen will describe the iterative, applied approach to implementation science employed by the Center for Literacy & Disability Studies. This approach emphasizes building open-source implementation models that help interprofessional teams improve the communication, language, and literacy outcomes of school-aged children with complex disabilities.
