Exploratory Data Analysis for Clinical Research
February 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join us for a laptop-optional workshop to learn about using exploratory data analysis (EDA) as part of a data analysis plan for clinical research. Code samples will be provided in both R and Python.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Rearticulate research question with respect to collected data
- Design and implement a data analysis plan
- Use appropriate exploratory data analysis (EDA) for variable and question types
Workshop outline:
1. What is a measurable research question?
2. Is your question answerable by the available data?
3. Considerations for designing an analysis plan to answer a specific question.
4. What is EDA?
5. What are appropriate EDAs for different types of research questions?
Prerequisites: No prerequisite knowledge needed. Some exposure to data analysis in R and/or Python may be beneficial.
