Adrianne A. Harris, Ph.D.

Dr. Harris is a UNC School of Medicine postdoctoral fellow at the CIDD where she previously served as a predoctoral intern and LEND fellow.

Feeding and Eating Related Experiences in the I/DD Community: Addressing Challenges and Exploring Resources

This talk provides a review of feeding and eating concerns common among individuals with I/DD in addition to strategies for addressing those concerns.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop a better understanding of feeding and eating related experiences among individuals with I/DD.
  2. Discuss the relationship between feeding and eating and other physical and mental health experiences in individuals with I/DD.
  3. Consider evidence-based practices and learn tips to promote health and address food related challenges for individuals with I/DDs across the lifespan.
