Marc J. Mass Memorial Distinguished Lecture — Mario Delmar
April 26, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
The graduate students of the Pathobiology & Translational Science program are extremely pleased to introduce you to the invited speaker at the 17th Annual Marc. J. Mass Lecture, Dr. Mario Delmar. The MJM Lecture is a student-organized event hosted in memorial of an alumni of the PBTS department.
Dr. Delmar is a renowned cardiovascular physician scientist from New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He is extremely accomplished and has made significant contributions within cardiac medicine. His laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms leading to sudden cardiac death in patients with inheritable arrythmia syndromes. Of note, his laboratory explores sodium channels, gap junction mechanisms, and ARVC using super-resolution microscopy and other cutting edge technologies. He has graciously accepted our invitation and will be speaking to us in person about “Exercise and Plakophilin-2 Deficiency: The Double-Hit of Arrythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy” on April 26th at 11:00am in Bondurant Hall G100.
