UNC Sports Medicine Institute Annual Conference

The UNC Sports Medicine Institute Conference is held annually to present up-to-date information and novel research to improve the care of active individuals. In alignment with our multidisciplinary approach to care, speakers include a variety of healthcare professionals and researchers who are experts in sports medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation and exercise science.
The focus for this year is multidisciplinary management of hip conditions as well as injury recovery and return to performance with a holistic approach. More details will be added as speakers and topics are confirmed.
Intended audience includes sports, family, and internal medicine physicians and APPs, physical therapists and assistants, athletic trainers, exercise specialists and researchers.
Conference education sessions will be held from 8 am – 5 pm. Each session will include several presentations on related topics followed by a moderated panel Q&A. Applications in process to provide continuing education credit for physicians and APPs (CME), PTs (APTA NC), and ATs (BOC). Based on past conferences with similar agendas, we anticipate 7.5 contact hours.
