Part of the 2019 Wellness Week, Visiting Professor Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD from the NYU School of Medicine will be discussing medicine in the 21st century. All SOM faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend. Following Dr. Ofri's talk will be a book signing from 5-6PM. Books will be available to purchase on-site.

Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with Ellen Ruebush, LCSW, LCAS, NCTTP, and Colleen Meyer, MSW, LCSW. Patients who stop using tobacco have improved cancer treatment outcomes and decreased treatment-related side effects, making tobacco use treatment an essential component of cancer care. This lecture will present evidence-based treatment for tobacco use, including guidelines for brief intervention and for prescribing tobacco cessation medications.

We will be offering a free drop-in photography session for UNC School of Medicine faculty members and UNC Health Care advanced practice providers (AuDs, CRNAs, CNMs, CNSs, CPPs, LCSWs, NPs, OTs, PTs, PAs and SLPs) only in October. Non-faculty advanced practice providers must provide direct, clinical patient care in the outpatient setting in order to be photographed.
