Roper to participate in 18th Annual Biotech Conference

On Feb. 16, Dean Roper will join a panel discussion on the possible direction the new administration’s policies may take toward the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

The panelists comprise senior executives from many different sectors of the healthcare industry.   They include:

  • Dennis Gillings, Ph.D., CBE, Chairman & CEO, Quintiles Transnational Corp.
  • Victor J. Dzau, M.D., Chancellor of Health Affairs, Duke University; President and CEO, Duke University Health System; James B. Duke Professor of Medicine
  • Maureen Kelley O’Connor, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina


The conference includes world-class speakers, a variety of panels on industry topics and trends, and networking opportunities with life science leaders.  It is hosted by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), in partnership with NCBIO and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.
