Upcoming lectures at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health

Upcoming lectures include "Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces that Shape Our Decisions"; the Fred T. Foard Jr. Memorial Lecture; and a special lecture given by James S. Marks, MD, MPH, senior vice president and director of the health group at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The events and receptions following are free of charge, but registration is required.

  • Dan Ariely, PhD, James B. Duke Professor of Behavioral Economics at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and author of Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces that Shape Our Decisions, will give a lecture on Friday, March 26 at 10 a.m. in Rosenau Hall auditorium (room 133).   • James S. Marks, MD, MPH, senior vice president and director of the health group at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, will present a lecture on Friday, April 9 at 1 p.m. in Rosenau Hall auditorium (room 133). Read more and register online.
  • Jeanne Lambrew, PhD, director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Health Reform, will present the Gillings School of Global Public Health’s 42nd annual Fred T. Foard Jr. Memorial Lecture on Thursday, April 15, at 6 p.m. at The William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. The events are open to the public, but seating is limited.
