The event was boosted by support from race participants and spectators alike who came out to show their support and directly contribute to UNC Health Care’s fundraising efforts for the HHT Foundation International.

“It was a great success,” reports UNC Health Care Vascular-International Radiology Division Chief Dr. Charles Burke. “We had perfect weather and a very strong turnout. People of all ages and abilities joined in the festivities. We had 68 people who registered in advance and approximately 20 more who registered on race day.”

“There was such a festive atmosphere here, and it was wonderful to be out at the park with all the participants and volunteers. I am thrilled to see the response from our community and look forward to next year’s event,” said Dr. Raj Kasthuri, UNC’s HHT Center of Excellence Medical Director.
