MD-PhD student receives University Award for the Advancement of Women

Congratulations to Audrey Rose Verde, medical student and PhD candidate, who received the student University Award for the Advancement of Women.

Rose Verde, along with peer MD-PhD student Kate Hacker, founded the student organization UNC Advocates for MD-PhD Women in Science.

A reception honoring recipients of the 2014 University Awards for the Advancement of Women will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 3 p.m. in the Anne Queen Faculty Commons in the Campus Y. Chancellor Carol L. Folt will present each recipient with a framed certificate and monetary award. Please join the campus community in celebrating the contributions of these outstanding individuals:
