HHT flier

Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) is a medical condition unfamiliar to most. Nonetheless, this genetic vascular disorder (also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome) poses daily quality-of-life challenges to its sufferers (1 of every 5,000 people in the U.S.), given the disorder’s symptomatic excessive bleeding from the nose, mouth, tongue, gastrointestinal tract, lungs, skin and other organs.

At UNC Health Care, eight UNC School of Medicine departments and one School of Dentistry division work together to offer comprehensive, multi-disciplinary HHT treatment at one of only 16 HHT Centers of Excellence nationwide. UNC Health Care is proud to support the HHT Foundation International’s research and awareness efforts through this fundraising event.
