In the Halls of New Knowledge

A wide variety of research was on display this week during Student Research Day.

This week, more than 100 medical students and graduate students in the UNC School of Medicine gathered to present their research at the 48th Annual Student Research Day on the ground floor of the UNC Medical Center. The day ended with a late-afternoon lecture by Nancy Brown, MD, the Hugh Jackson Morgan Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University.

The winners of the oral and poster presentations are listed below. We spoke with several poster presenters about their work and what conducting research meant to them personally and to their education at the UNC School of Medicine.
