The UNC Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations has identified the following private funding opportunity:

Free to Breathe funds pilot research projects that will investigate novel strategies to improve accrual of lung cancer patients to therapeutic cancer clinical trials by at 50% within a defined health care facility, system or community. Aim of funding is for projects that are reproducible and implementable to a wider community, including other cancers. Applicants do not need to be US citizens, but must verify work visa. Sponsoring institutions must have demonstrated a solid track record of maintaining open therapeutic cancer clinical trials that can support the proposed intervention to increase patient accrual, including a substantial number of lung cancer clinical trials.

Application Deadline: July 17, 2015 by 5:00pm EDT. Application Guidelines can be found here.
