Seminar presented by Joe Ramos, PhD, program director and professor of the  Cancer Biology Program at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.

Title of talk:  “Modulation of focal adhesions by RSK isoforms in cancer cell metastasis”

The focus of Ramos' research is to understand the underlying mechanisms that control cancer cell metastasis. He is particularly focused on the role of RSK2 and PEA-15 in complex with ERK MAP kinase in cancer cell invasion and migration. More recently, his work has extended to the function of RasGRP1 in skin cancer.
